#2 Kyrus Dragon had excuses first-up when drawn wide, settling back before being held up in the straight. There was merit to his closing effort and from barrier 1 with more tempo expected, he gets the right set-up. #1 Dragon Four Seas is thriving this season and his tactical versatility allows him to adapt to different race shapes. He is hard to knock. #9 Copartner Fleet is a progressive three-year-old chasing his second win as he rises into Class 3 for the first time. This will be a good test of where he stands ahead of next season. #5 Chill Buddy debuts for Ricky Yiu and will be in need of a run but his trials have been encouraging.
