Trainer - KIM WAUGH

Kim Waugh grew up around horses and was a leading female trots driver in the 1980’s before cutting short her successful career to focus on thoroughbreds.
Having worked with her uncle Charlie Parons, a legend in the trotting industry, Kim Waugh was able to draw on that experience when eventually taking out her training license.
Kim’s first major success was with Never True who took out the South Grafton Cup in 1991.
Since then Kim has trained many winners including a Doomben Classic with Enforced, Grafton Cup with Catapult.
The highlight however, being her champion stayer Mahtoum who won the Group 1 Sydney Cup and ran fifth in the Melbourne Cup.
Moving her training complex from Rosehill to the Central Coast, Waugh continues to have good success with a boutique stable of around 25 horses.
