Soft conditions for another big session featuring some strong autumn prospects.
Unfortunately the Magic Millions Classic winner O' OLE suffered a fetlock injury in her heat and will require surgery and a spell.
MAKARENA (Hawkes Racing): Strong work from this classy mare to win her first trial since November, having plenty in hand to hold off an eye catching second from AUNTY RENE in her open heat over 1050m on the A grass (64.23; 35.25).
STRADA VARENNA (Bjorn Baker): Have had my eye on this Street Boss filly since she won a heat at the first 2YO trials in September. This was her third trial and her impressive work to win the fastest of the nine 1050m heats (64.09; 35.26) confirms that she will be ready to run when produced by her leading stable.
THEBLADE (Hawkes Racing): Toronado colt ran up to his early trials when he won his maiden on debut in August but disappointed at short odds when he resumed in December. He bounced back with a sharp sprint to win his 1050m heat (64.28; 34.80) with style from the interesting SYDNEY BOWLER, a talented 4YO off the scene since he won his first three starts in late 2023.

The Group heats on the Kensington track featured good work from a fitter PERICLES to win the 1250m heat (77.50; 34.30) and the top class mare STEFI MAGNETICA doing her best late for third in the 850m heat won by ENRICHED (50.62;33.57).
