The final weekend of the month proved an epic one for our Mauritian jockeys abroad, with six riders making their way to the winner's enclosure across four countries.
Karis Teetan continued his stellar form in Hong Kong, landing his 33rd win of the season at Sha Tin on Sunday, guiding Youth Power to victory in the opening race. Earlier that day in New Zealand, Kavish Chowdhoory was also in the spotlight, partnering Belle Tribute to success in the 4th race at Wanganui.
The bulk of the victories came on Saturday. Rihaan Goyaram got the ball rolling at Te Rapa, winning the 4th race aboard Lubeck. Later that day, Yogesh Atchamah delivered again with Penvose Lad in the 9th race at Riccarton Park. Over in the United Kingdom, Brandon Louis wrapped up the day with a strong win on Awesome Boy in the 5th at Ascot.
The first strike of the weekend came on Friday in South Africa, where Iannish Taka opened the account at Fairview. He rode City Of Dreams to victory in the 2nd race, securing his second career win on South African soil.
A superb weekend's showing, once again proving the reach and talent of Mauritian riders on the international stage.
