TRIAL POINTERS
WYONG June 16: There was a good mix of talent in the 2YO heats with RAGING FORCE from the Peter Snowden stable the one that really took the eye with his closing second in his 1000m heat. He's been on the radar since his good trials at the start of the season and is set to go on from his last start win at Muswellbrook where he beat a subsequent winner. ADELAIDE RIVER, an imported stayer in the Lees stable, trialled with purpose and look set to improve on what he has displayed to date in a limited Australian career.
RANDWICK June 13: There were some handy types in the 2YO trials over 1050m with the heat winners ALIGNED (64.29; 34.40), AGATHA (64.63; 34.61) and SAYTARA (64.11; 34.87) all primed to perform at the races.
WARWICK FARM June 10: The lightly raced KING OF DRAGONS is ready to rise through the classes after an impressive win in a strong open heat. Having his second trial since he won his maiden in January, this Harry Angel colt trucked through his 796m trial in the fastest of the short course heats (46.85; 33.73), never coming off the bit to win a heat that held plenty of depth. He's eligible for a C1 and looks better than that.
ROSEHILL June 6: Unraced Astern filly VINCENTIO won her second trial at Warwick Farm on May 26 and went better this time with a classy win in her 900m heat (55.39; 35.11). Led under a hold and responded easily to open up a clear lead between the 300m and 200m before Tommy Berry allowed her to coast to the line a couple of lengths clear of the chasers.
RANDWICK May 30: GETAFIX put in good work through the line in his 1045m heat.
WARWICK FARM November 19: Unraced Brazen Beau gelding POISONOUS should be hard to beat in a suitable maiden on debut after an impressive 800m heat win in fast time (46.58; 33.29). Travelled strongly in the lead and impressed with his reaction when called on for an effort over the last 200m, sprinting clear and coasting through the line 3.5 lengths clear of the chasers. More recently has confirmed that promise with two more smart trial wins at Warwick Farm on May 22 and Rosehill on June 6.
