A half-sister to an Australian Guineas runner will be offered for sale on Sunday.
Australian Guineas victory would be valuable for Ndola but the Ben, Will and JD Hayes-trained colt is racing for much more than prizemoney and a place at stud.
Success would most likely ensure another windfall for connections around 24 hours after the $1 million Group 1 is run at Flemington on Saturday.
Ndola, a son of Justify, is out of Hear The Chant, whose fifth foal will be offered on Day 1 of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
Hear The Chant was raced by the Devitt and Gordon families, who also raced her sire Nicconi, and they also race Ndola.
A winner of three of his seven starts, Ndola booked his place in the Guineas with a Group 3 second placing in the C S Hayes Stakes on February 15 and is a $17 chance in the Guineas.
The Hear The Chant filly, who is by Shamus Award, is being offered by Widden Stud who would love to see the ultimate pedigree update on sale eve.
"Obviously the race result will impact the result of her sale the following day and you'd hope that he can run really well and only increase a pedigree that's already bolstering," Widden's sales, nominations and client relations manager Matt Comerford said.
"But she's a lovely filly, she's very athletic and got a great way about her.
"We started off the career of Shamus Award in the Hunter and this is a filly that looks in the mould of one of his better running types, for sure.
"She's got a presence here and she'll be well-found."
Ndola is one of three to race for Hear The Chant, whose first two foals Scream and Hearcomesthestar are both by Zoustar and have won races apiece.
After Ndola, Hear The Chant had a filly by Shamus Award who has been named Dequindre who is yet to race and last year foaled a colt by Blue Point.
The Hear The Chant filly is part of a bumper 45-lot Premier book for Widden, whose draft is headlined by three youngsters by its banner stallion Zoustar, including a colt from the Sebring mare Patricia Dawn who is turning heads at the inspections stage.
That colt, a brother to Sunsource, goes through as Lot 375 on Monday's second day of the three-day sale.
Half-a-dozen youngsters out of Group 1 winners, including Dear Demi and Oohood, are among the 803-lot catalogue, along with brothers to Group 1 winners Roch 'N' Horse and Shadow Hero.
Also to be offered are half-brothers to Group 1 winners including Santa Ana Lane, Lyre, Preferment and Krone, while half-sisters to Antino, Awesome Rock and Johnny Get Angry will also be made available.
