Hollie Doyle has become the winning-most female jockey in Britain after guiding Brindavan to success in the Carey Group Handicap at Ascot on Saturday.
The record formerly held by the recently retired Hayley Turner was passed on Saturday when Doyle landed her 1,023rd victory.
The 28-year-old enjoyed her breakthrough success at Group 1 level onboard Nashwa in 2020, with the same horse going on to provide her with a first Classic victory in the 2022 Prix de Diane. In the same year as her first Group 1 victory, Glen Shiel provided Doyle with a further top-level victory in the British Champions Sprint.
Hollie Doyle has enjoyed notable success at Royal Ascot, with Bradsell following up his 2022 Coventry Stakes victory with glory in the 2023 King Charles III Stakes.
Alongside her excellent domestic success, Doyle became the first female jockey to win a leg of the prestigious Hong Kong International Jockeys' Challenge in 2020, while she also has enjoyed great success off the track, being crowned the winner of the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year in 2020 and finishing third in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Speaking on Sky Sports Racing, Doyle said: "It's good and like I've said in the past, I've got to kind of pinch myself to believe that I've done this well, so long may it continue."
Doyle, who is married to fellow top jockey Tom Marquand, added: "We've both come a long way and some days we do sit back and really appreciate what's happened, but we're also always looking forward to what we can do next or what's around the corner.
"But it's a great milestone to have reached and I'll keep kicking."
When asked of a career highlight to date, Doyle nominated her first Classic success on Nashwa in the Prix de Diane.
"It probably would be my first Classic on Nashwa in Chantilly, that was special," said Doyle.
