Sam King is back with three selections on Tuesday…
The three-year-old Mr Ubiquitous looks to be heading in the right direction and appears to hold every chance of completing the hat-trick at Brighton (4.45) this afternoon.
A nose winner of the mile at Windsor earlier in the season, he appeared to relish the drop back to seven furlongs when running out a snug one and a quarter length scorer over course and distance six days ago.
He's now 6lb worse off with Jack Morland's reopposing runner-up Callout, but that penalty is effectively halved by the 3lb claim of talented apprentice Kaiya Fraser, who knows the horse well enough having finished second on him last year.
Harry Eustaces' gelded son of Massaat is progressive for this grade and can follow-up to take his record to four from five in Class 6 company.
1pt Win - Mr Ubiquitous
Odds – 7/4
Top course trainer Tony Carroll needs no introduction at Brighton and his Pop Dancer, who lost nothing in defeat when collared over course and distance six days ago, looks poised to gain compensation.
It's no shock that connections have opted to turn him out a week later off an unchanged mark, especially given this race looks likely to suit on paper.
Drawn in stall four under Jack Doughty, Pop Dancer should have little trouble getting to the front and if getting the fractions correct, he should have every chance of making all to score.
He's a two-time course and distance scorer and looks ready to get back to winning ways following some solid recent results.
1pt Win – Pop Dancer
Odds – 5/4
The Richard Hannon team has been amongst the winners of late, including recent Haydock scorer Antelope, who should be up to defying the 6lb penalty over at Leicester (4.35).
The gelded son of Lope De Vega looked to relish stepping up to ten furlongs for the second time in his career when winning in commanding style just four days ago. He appeared value for more than the three and a quarter length winning margin that day, quickening up smartly once in the clear after suffering some traffic problems up the straight.
Alec Voikhansky's 3lb claim negates half of the penalty and with further progress on the cards, he gets the vote to complete a quickfire double.
1pt Win – Antelope
Odds – 5/2
