He was on board Redentor who got his first G1 in the Tenno Sho Spring in Kyoto on Sunday over 3,200m.  Lane had settled in about 6th place for most of the run and then he moved forward and by the 200m was in the lead.  Byzantine Dream 10/1 was at the back of the field and then in the straight moved round all the others except Redentor and they had a great battle which was finally won by Redentor.  Shonan La Punta was his usual self settling well and then moving up in the straight but was not fast enough to catch the first two home.  Warp Speed who was second in the Melbourne Cup never featured this time.

On Saturday in Tokyo Toshin Macau held out to win over Mama Cocha with Logi Leon third and Red Mon Reve fourth so the first four in the market justified their spots.
