Winning Trainer: Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott (Adrian speaking)
On missing the Inglis Millennium: "Yeah, look, certainly. I think that's certainly some consolation for the owners there, some important black type and residual value for her, and importantly some prize money to count towards going to the Golden Slipper.
She was emergency in the big race with the women's only bonus there they were chasing, but I'm sure they'll still be very satisfied with a big win today."
On the Golden Slipper: "Look, she's certainly up to it. She's a lovely big, strong filly. She's had the advantage of having a preparation.
Things didn't necessarily go to plan for her in the Gimcrack, she was always sort of one of our leading filly's going into that race, and just the wide draw affected her on the day. But no excuses today, she has come back that stronger and more seasoned filly. She can certainly put her hand up.
She'll go to one of those fillies' lead-up races, potentially a race like the Sweet Embrace, and see if we can get her fully qualified for the Slipper."
Winning Jockey: Regan Bayliss
Thoughts on Bellazaine: "She is a filly that came through that spring form of the Gimcrack which has really stood up. She is a big, long, rangy and scopey filly that's only going to get better once she gets over a little bit further."
Thoughts on the win: "The Godolphin colt that'd had a run under his belt challenged her and she was tough right through the line"
"She is still a little bit baulky and having a look around at things. Tim has done most of the work on her and I grew confidence in hearing what he had to say about her. She didn't disappoint today."
Beaten Jockeys:
James McDonald (Extractor): "Really good run. Happy with him."
Zac Lloyd (Chergui): "He had a tough run from the barrier."
Adam Hyeronimus (Beiwacht): "Nice horse. Plenty of upside"
Tyler Schiller (Algorithmic): "Great debut. I think he still has a bit of improvement, but going up in trip will certainly help.
Tim Clark (Anarchist): "He's better than that."
Chad Schofield (Banknote Hustler): "A nice debut. He found them a little bit sharp, but he'll be much better over six furlongs."
Kerrin McEvoy (Benevac): "Next prep for him."
Jason Collett (Brat Summer): "Good run for an inexperienced horse"
Ashley Morgan (Kerber): "I thought she ran well. She's a big filly that's going to be a three-year-old, later two-year-old at minimum. Gave me a nice feel through the run, a little bit raw, but she will be a lovely filly."
Jay Ford (Lady Talea): "Good experience for her, just a bit before her time."
