Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Bendigo, Ipswich, Murray Bridge and Pinjarra.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 6 @ 2:35 PM

HELL TO PAY (6) returned from a brief spell last start and did a good job to finish second over 1250m at this track, making it seven top three results from eight career runs. Like the blinkers going on for the first time today - that may give him that extra length or two required. MIGNONETTE (16) stalked the leader then proved too strong late when resuming on a heavy track over 1250m at Newcastle last time out. Lightly raced filly who has a lot more to offer so stick with her. CORDINA (15) kept her 100% top three record intact at her latest run, a sound third over 1200m at Canterbury. Can cross from the wide alley to race handy and another forward showing is expected. CORREON (3) led from the outset and never looked in doubt in a Class 1 over this distance at Newcastle recently. Has a wide gate to contend with but is too honest to leave out. DASHING RUPERT (2) is a real winner and deserves a crack in town after some excellent form at the provincials.
SELECTIONS: Plenty of in-form runners come together - Hell To Pay looks good value.

BENDIGO: RACE 2 @ 1:00 PM

NEWS TRAVELS FAST (5) looks the one to beat. He was beaten under a length at Seymour over 1414m last time out, sticking on well after setting the early pace. This doesn't look a very strong affair and he's open to further improvement. ALVIN (1) has had a few chances, placing in four consecutive runs before struggling at Geelong when in the market. Can bounce back. SWIFT POWER (8) was okay at Geelong last time out when a well-beaten fourth. A repeat of that effort in this weaker maiden would be right in the finish. ITWASONLYAKISS (3) was close up at Kerang last time and has minor claims. PRESAGIO (6) is off a very long spell and may need the run but has some Japanese form (over much further) that stacks up well.
SELECTIONS: News Travels Fast to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 5 @ 2:18 PM

QUOTHQUAN (1) loves it here at the Ipswich circuit winning two from two and should find this easier than the recent Saturday metropolitan effort. Will be at peak fitness now fourth-up from the spell and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Sure to play a pivotal role in the outcome. BITOFTHEBLARNEY (8) has placed two from three around this circuit and is usually thereabouts. Can run a race while fresh. NEW JOY (4) returned in good order with a strong Toowoomba victory and is another to get some weight off. Top-three contender on best form. TWYFORD (2) saves his best form for his home track here with five victories and cannot be left out of calculations. RASHFORD (7) strips fitter second-up from the spell and may earn some minor money.
SELECTIONS: Quothquan to return to the winners' stall.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 8 @ 4:15 PM

PULAMBI (10) returned to winning form second-up with an authoritative display after just missing first-up. Progressive type who looks well suited stepping out again with a light weight thanks to the claim. Third-up and ready to peak. ALPINE JOY (6) fought hard to score two back and then chased gamely last start when fourth at Clare. Faces a tricky draw but gains the services of Neindorf, which is a strong push. Can be in the finish with even luck. KUITPO KISS (9) turned in a promising effort when resuming, hitting the line strongly late into third. Will improve with that run under the belt and gets the rise in trip, though the wide draw may see her get a long way back. MY TRUTH (5) is honest without winning often but is capable on his day. Keep safe for exotics.
SELECTIONS: Pulambi to win.

PINJARRA: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

MADE IN MEXICO (6) resumes from a 70-day let-up and hadn't been sighted publicly since his last run at Belmont. He goes well fresh however, winning 2/4 and just missing over this track and trip when first-up last campaign as favourite. Drawn ideally out wide and can get back to winning ways. ORACLE SON (2) got the job done by a nose at Ascot first-up, getting his head down where it mattered most. He's been back to the trials since and was good behind a nice horse there at Lark Hill. Can bring up back-to-back wins with the added fitness on his side. OSCAR CHARLIE (7) was edged out by Oracle Son last start following a dominant victory at Narrogin two back. May need a touch of luck from an inside barrier, but his form is hard to knock. Can feature heading down the straight for the first time. GALAXY AFFAIR (3) will be better over further but can turn in a strong fresh effort. HE'S GOLD (9) is better than he showed fresh and can improve now.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Made In Mexico.
