Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 19.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Bathurst, Gosford, Moe, Kilcoy and Pinjarra.
BATHURST: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM
Tricky. STRAIGHT FIRE (4) found more like her best, winning a 65 on the Canberra poly track over 1750m. Tackles a middle distance for the first time and the inside barrier should be advantageous. JVO sticks and she can go on with the job. CHEBICI (10) had no luck seeking the hat-trick at Goulburn over a mile. She tumbles in weight in this grade and that brings her into it. A chance to bounce. DEVILS DAUGHTER (8) comes out of the same race, beaten 1.6L and running a peak. She went well here three back over 1800m and has decent claims with average luck in the run. BONUS TEMPUS (2) missed a whisker this grade at the Sapphire Coast but found the class leap too much in town. Maps well and she's placed over this trip.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Straight Fire.

GOSFORD: RACE 1 @ 12:35 PM
JUSTICE PLEASE (6) frustrating filly who gets a much better setup today from the low draw. Ben Osmond retains the ride after closing strongly from out wide when an eye-catching fourth over 1600m at Wyong. On the quick backup and ready to win. JUMP IN THE LINE (2) appreciated the firmer surface when attacking the line late for a game third over 1600m at Wyong. Can race a little closer here and a win looks imminent. MATETE (3) is desperate for the firmer surface and Jay Ford takes the ride. Suited out to the mile after struggling in the conditions when fourth over 1400m at Newcastle. Capable of better. SHOOT'EM UP (4) trapped wide early when jumping in journey for a tiring seventh over 1600m at Wyong. Gets a more economical run for this and no shock to see him go close.
SELECTIONS: Justice Please finds her race.
MOE: RACE 9 @ 4:00 PM
MISHARE (1) brings a win and a close-up finish from Cranbourne at 64 level and is suited by the step up to the mile. The 1.5kg claim is handy, and she maps for the run of the race. A bounce is on the cards. NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (7) raced favourite this track/trip beaten 1.8L. That was a much better effort, and his best would have him right in it. MISS TRAMELL (9) won her Maiden comfortably here two back over this distance. She went close in the country following and will enjoy a soft run. A chance as well. KING'S TAJ (4) is up in trip and back in grade. He's capable and the 3kg claim brings him into the reckoning.
SELECTIONS: Backing Mishare.
KILCOY: RACE 5 @ 1:57 PM
SURREAL ASCOT (2) has been right there in recent efforts and will sit up on pace from the inside marble. This is not an overly strong contest and expecting her to be very competitive again. THAT'S AN EXTRA (1) is a bit hit or miss but is more than capable enough on her day. Top-three commodity on best form. GALLERY MASTER (8) loves this course and distance with a win and two seconds from just four attempts. Has to be included in calculations. SMOOTH FLIGHT (6) gets Tarrant in the stirrups and can trouble the judge with any luck in running. DUNLOE (3) best of the rest in a race with only a couple of chances.
SELECTIONS: Surreal Ascot to get the job done.
PINJARRA SCARPSIDE: RACE 6 @ 5:20 PM
CJP opts to ride AUTO CRUISE (9) following a strong debut win at Northam, with that form already being franked. She sat close to the speed there and still got the job done while doing plenty wrong in the process. Looks to have some class about her and can go on with the job. JUST FAMOUS (6) went close with ZJP riding a fortnight ago when first-up over 1200m, beaten under a length in a good effort. A soft track will be ideal for him, as will the rise in distance. Drawn much better this time and can land the knockout blow. HOPE TO RULE (12) held on for her maiden win as a $26 chance last start at Bunbury and has performed well in stronger events in the past. Pike now takes the ride in a good push for her chances and she'll be strong late in the race. LEETRON (3) was too good on debut before heading to the paddock for a long spell. Nice trial coming in this time however and he can play a leading role. CLASSIC IMPACT (11) won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Auto Cruise.
