Green Light for 2025 Season Racing Returns 26 July

The 2025 racing season is set seventeen meetings, five breaks, and big races ahead.

The Gambling Regulatory Authority has officially approved the 2025 Racing Calendar submitted by the MTC Jockey Club Ltd.

The upcoming season will feature a total of 17 race meetings, interspersed with five scheduled breaks. The much-anticipated season opener is set for Saturday, 26th July, and will include the prestigious Group 2 Duchess of York Cup — a race exclusively reserved for newly imported horses making their Mauritian debut.

Season highlights include:

  • Barbé Cup – Saturday, 27th September
  • Maiden Cup – Sunday, 9th November (the crown jewel of the calendar)
  • Duke of York Cup – Saturday, 13th December (just one week before the season finale)

The MTC Jockey Club looks forward to welcoming racing fans back to the Champ de Mars for what promises to be a thrilling and memorable season.
